Circles secure anonymous social media

Circles LogoCircles is a new concept in Social Media secure anonymous social media and is a startup by Agile World Consulting. The link below is for the hold page that explains the main concepts and gives an email address to sign up if interested. It’s a picture to deal with spam and in homage to the old pirate Steve Jobs who used a picture of an email on his page.

Q. Why would anyone want anonymous social media ?

A. Anonymous social media is a new way to think about social media as a service instead of a selling experience.

The way social media currently works is it owns your data, and you agree to get a free service. Except it’s not free as you have given your personal and private data for the use of data storage and communication space.

Q. How will I connect to people if they don’t know who I am?

A. Your primary profile will be completely anonymous, we won’t store any personal data, and you will get a made-up name. Your two other starting profiles are up to you they can be made-up or can hold some of your real details but will not hold identifying data like date of birth, location, gender. Each profile can connect to a circle or circles so that “Strike Blue”, “Zakaria Barrera”, “Charly Connie” have no data connection, but can all be you. Then you can connect to other Dog Walkers, Artists, Film Fans or anything connected by interests.

Q. If its anonymous why would I use my real name in a secondary profile? 

A. The use of your real name in a profile would be for business, work or entrepreneurs. This allows for a seperation between social and professional lives, activities and interests. Shops are not inscope for the first release however if people want them we would find out how best to fit them in to the ecosystem, any shopping would also need to be  anonymous.

Q. Why are you building this?

A. To be honest I’m unhappy with the security of my personal data and don’t agree that I should have to give it to a corporation. Also, I have separated my professional and personal social media and that really works well for me it’s just difficult to keep track of what’s happening. And lastly, I’m finding it harder and harder to find what my friends are saying because of all the advertising.

Q. How are you funding this?

A. Currently I’m personally funding this and doing the technical work, however I hope to Crowdfund in 2025 to pay for developers and writers. Its been fun coding in HTML again and designing the data architecture, its been a while.

Q. This is a paid service, how much will it cost?

A. The idea is to get economies of scale so $2 per month per profile ($6 at launch after Alpha and Beta), with a founders discount and other perks for people who invest through crowdfunding that will be unique to them.
